One of the goals of Outreach Information Systems is to develop training that will incorporate the following components:

  • Effective: Accomplishes specific objectives relevant to participant's success.
  • Efficient: Meets those objectives without wasting time or energy.
  • Engaging: Attracts and involves learners and incorporates their experiences into the learning.

  • Focuses on application
  • Fits the characteristics of the adult learner
  • Balances the diverse realities of multiple users
  • Places minimum reliance on the lecture-process approach
  • Includes appropriate evaluation points
When not available through other University resources, Outreach Information Systems will develop and offer training on those applications supported by OIS.

Information Technology Services (ITS)
